====== Community Chat ======
We have a community chat on Discord, Matrix and IRC where you can chat with Frantech customers and some of the Frantech Staff members. 

The main community chat is on Discord however, IRC and Matrix are bridged to the Frantech Discord server meaning you can chat with people who are on the Discord aswell.

**Note: IRC is only bridged to the #general channel on the Discord server. However Matrix has most of the Discord channels bridged.**

**Note 2: If you need help with billing/support please create a ticket at the billing page at: https://my.frantech.ca/ We kindly ask you to not DM any Frantech staff members with help with billing/support. If you need a Frantech staff member to login your server for assistance please create a ticket with that information if needed.**
===== Rules =====
We ask you to please read the rules so we can all have a great time.

1. Frantech is an extremely pro free-speech focused company. Please don't abuse this liberty by being overtly cruel to others.

2. Do not share your login/passwords with anyone in this server. Please log a ticket with those details if requested.

3. Be helpful. We have a varied user-base when it comes to knowledge, so please be patient and help each other out.

4. Do not verbally abuse anyone. Any reports of abuse, in any form, will be logged and will lead to moderation.

4a. Staff/Hattus are helping out this community in their free time. Any unwarranted negative behaviour towards them or unconstructive feedback will result in a ban/last warning.

5. Keep all discussions in the correct channels. Please use discretion when a conversation moves to something off topic, and move it to the relevant channel. Refusal to do so will result in a warning/kick. See below for channel explanations:

6. Spam is not tolerated.

7. Do not discuss piracy (including skirting software licensing). This isn't a warez community.

8. Do not advertise Discord/Matrix/IRC servers that you own/moderate or other provider without prior consent from Frantech Staff.

9. Intentionally shitposting within reason will result in a promotion to costumer.

===== Matrix=====
BuyVM has introduced our own Matrix homeserver, and registration is available.
We have our own Element instance which points to our homeserver, this is the easiest way to register on the BuyVM Matrix homeserver.
It is available [[https://chat.buyvm.net/element/|here]].

Once there, you can hit the Register button and fill in your details. The Email field is **optional**, however it will give you the ability to reset your password.

After logging in you will have a green button with "Explore Public Rooms" where you will be able to see any public rooms on our homeserver, including the ones linked below.

You can of course join from any homeserver, using any client, and there are a great many clients available. Matrix.org maintains [[https://matrix.org/clients/|a list of clients]] on their website.
